Wellbutrin weight loss is well know. Welbutrin was originally intended as a treatment for clinical depression but one of the side effects is weight loss.

Wellbutrin is specifically approved by the FDA for treatment of the following conditions.
 Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
 Major depression
 Bipolar disorder (depressive phase)
 Chronic fatigue syndrome
 Cocaine craving
 Lower back pain
Bupropion, the generic form of Wellbutrin, is also used to help people stop smoking. When it is prescribed for smoking cessation, it is marketed under the brand name Zyban, which is a different dosage of Bupropion used to treat mental disorders, and it is also administered differently.

Wellbutrin is a powerful drug and is only available with a prescription from a licensed medical doctor. Please know it is still considerate controversial by some in the healing professions, particularly those who promote a more natural approach to treating depression, mood disorders and issues regarding body fat and weight.

A few things you should know about Wellbutrin.

It is not approved for use by children under the age of 18.
It may impair coordination or mental abilities.
It is not recommended for pregnant or nursing mothers.
It can lower the seizure threshold in those people prone to seizures.

Shane Ellison, MS, The People’s Chemist, and author of Over the Counter Natural Cures, wrote in his blog that…

“In 2004, Health Canada issued a warning about bupropion (Wellbutrin) to medical doctors. Clinical trials and post-marketing reports were shown to ignite agitation-type adverse events coupled with self-harm or harm to others. The agitation-type events included akathisia, agitation, disinhibition, emotional instability, hostility, aggression, and depersonalization. In some cases, these behaviors occurred within several weeks of starting treatment.”
